Team DGS Supports May is Bike Month

More than a dozen Sacramento-area DGS employees joined Director Daniel C. Kim, Chief Deputy Director Jeff McGuire and other cyclists on the east side of the Ziggurat building to ride to the Capitol BikeFest on May 11.

DGS Cyclists During May Is Bike Month
DGS bicyclists get prepped on safety before hitting the road to the Capitol BikeFest.

 

The ride to the Capitol is just one of several activities being held as part of May is Bike Month, a sustainability movement throughout the Sacramento region that challenges people to choose bicycling for all types of trips including those related to work, school, recreation and errands.

While May is a great time for bicycling, DGS is committed to promoting the health and well-being of DGS staff and encouraging the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation all year round.
