State agencies who want to finance an acquisition through the Golden State Financial Marketplace (GS $Mart, pronounced “G S smart”) can request this service. GS $Mart is an innovative acquisition finance program designed to facilitate State of California agencies and local governments with installment or lease purchases, while meeting all requirements of a competitively bid process.

Through the GS $Mart program, acquisition financing can be arranged for the following:

IT and IT projects
Vehicles
Lab Equipment
Furniture
Energy Savings Projects (Energy $Mart)
Other acquisitions for goods and service

NEW GS $MART FUNCTIONALITY IN FI$CAL

The Department of General Services, Procurement Division (DGS-PD), Golden State Market Place (GS $Mart) is pleased to announce the implementation of a new FI$Cal functionality for procurement financing transactions involving the GS $Mart program. Departments can use the new FI$Cal Job Aid as they create a lender contract and purchase order(s) when financing is being arranged for the acquisition of products and services.

The FI$Cal Job Aid for financing transactions using the new GS $Mart functionality is available in Fi$Cal and can be accessed by clicking on the Fi$Cal link below and logging into your FI$Cal user account.
