Request Limit to Brand or Trade Name for Commodity Acquisition

State agencies seeking to acquire Non-IT and IT goods limited to a brand or trade name should submit a request to use the Limit to Brand or Trade Name (LTB) form. This acquisition method limits competitive bidding to a specified brand or trade name that is available for purchase from  multiple distributors. As defined by state law, all LTB requests are approved in accordance with the State Contracting Manual (SCM), Volumes 1, 2, 3, and F, except in the case of emergency or where public health and safety is threatened.
