Under Executive Order N-06-19
Location: Sacramento, CA
The Department of General Services (DGS) has entered into a long-term ground lease with the Capitol Area Community Development Corporation and CFY Development, a Joint Powers Authority between the State and the City of Sacramento. The State property is at 1322 O Street in Sacramento located one block south of the State Capitol. The 1322 O Street housing project is a mixed-use project consisting of 57 microunit apartments at 267 sq. ft. each and a manager’s unit for a total of 58 units with 1,300 SF of ground floor commercial space. 100 percent of the 57 units will be affordable at low and very low-income levels.
The Project is on an underutilized infill site with exceptional public transit accessibility, walkability, and proximity to jobs and services. 1322 O Street is one of the first projects under Executive Order (EO) N-06-19 for Affordable Housing Development, which prioritizes affordable housing development on excess State-owned property and pursuit of sustainable, innovative, and cost-effective construction methods.
