The Department of General Services identified an older office building that is no longer needed on approximately +/- 2.79 acres located at 3374 East Shields Avenue in the City of Fresno, County of Fresno for the development of affordable housing. The site is located approximately 4.25 miles east of State Route 99 and 1.5 miles north of State Route 180.
Project Milestones
Laing Companies and Valued Housing were selected to develop the site. The site will facilitate the construction of 224 affordable housing units as follows:
Phase I - 84 units
- 26 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 30%
- 20 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 50%
- 27 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 60%
- 10 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 70%
- 1 Manager Unit
Phase II - 140 Family units
- 17 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 30%
- 27 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 40%
- 62 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 50%
- 19 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 60%
- 13 Units with an Average Median Income restriction of 80%
- 2 Managers Units
