Electric Vehicle Charging Guide
Learn where to find and how to use electric vehicle charging stations.
The Department of General Services (DGS) is committed to establishing policies and programs that reduce greenhouse gasses, protect air and water quality, promote energy diversity, and support low-carbon alternative fuel technologies. The DGS ZEV Parking Policy offers several incentives to state employee monthly parking customers who drive a battery electric vehicle or a fuel cell vehicle.
Individual drivers
ZEV drivers may use the EVConnect app to initiate a charging session. Individual charging session costs may vary and are based on pricing rules outlined in the DGS ZEV Parking Policy.

Fleet drivers
Agencies with leased mobile equipment may request a key fob to initiate a charging session at EV chargers networked by EVConnect. Agency fleet coordinators may contact DGSFleetOps@dgs.ca.gov for more information.
