For example, a dual-fuel natural gas vehicle stores compressed natural gas in one fuel tank and gasoline in another, and the driver can choose the fuel used by the vehicle at any given time. In contrast, a flexible-fuel vehicle (FFV)—which can operate on gasoline, E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline), or a mixture of both—stores E85 and gasoline mixed together in a single fuel tank.
