State agencies can request environmental and historical consulting services for their building in preparation for environmental review and planning documents for California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) processes.

Environmental and Historical Consulting includes a variety of specialized services that include preparing environmental review, consulting with natural resource protection agencies, conducting site suitability studies, and outreach assistance for the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO)
Specialized services include:
- Preparing Environmental Review and Planning documents for CEQA and NEPA processes.
- Consulting with natural resource protection agencies and Native American Tribes.
- Obtaining development permits for wetland fills, stream crossings, waste discharges, endangered species takings, water supply wells, and coastal consistency analyses.
- Conducting site suitability studies used for real estate due diligence and site selection and acquisition determinations.
- Outreaching assistance with community planning meetings and public involvement.
- Assisting with project planning, budgeting and scheduling.

Environmental Efforts
Thousands of CEQA/NEPA environmental documents have been prepared to evaluate potential impacts from a broad range of projects including institutional facilities (i.e., offices, laboratories, fire stations, hospitals, dormitories, etc.), infrastructure improvements (water and wastewater facilities, fish hatcheries, marinas, fire and security system upgrades, telecommunication towers, solar and wind turbines, parking, etc.), and environmental restoration projects like stream bed alterations and wetlands creation.
Hundreds of historic resource evaluations for determination of registration eligibility as a state historic resource and National Register of Historic Places have been completed in compliance with Public Resources Code.
