DSA ACC Member, Nathan Dison
Nathan Dison, selected to represent the building/construction industry, is an architect with over 20 years of architecture experience working in the public sector. Nate is currently a Technical Director and architect at Gensler, the largest architecture firm in the world. In that role he provides code reviews and oversight for millions of square feet of commercial space including offices, transportation hubs, laboratories, and retail spaces.
As a member of the ACC Nate hopes to contribute to the clarification of code requirements to help other architects understand how to create accessible spaces. Nate’s passion is to make universally accessible commercial/business/transit spaces with the goal that employers are better able to hire employees with disabilities, and so that all users are able to get around without obstacles and frustration.
Gensler's stated mission is to 'create a better world through the power of design.' Nate will bring that thinking and his passion for universal access to this role at the ACC.
