DSA PSCC Member Dave Karina
As a member of the PSCC, Dave serves as a Project Inspector Representative.
David Karina has over 20 years of experience as a builder when he transitioned to construction inspector 20 years ago. He is a DSA Certified Class One Project Inspector as well as an OSHPD Certified Inspector of Record.
David is a two-term past national president of the American Construction Inspector’s Association (ACIA), served on the DSA Advisory Board, Inspection & Testing Committee, Emergency Preparedness Committee, DSA Academy Committee & DSA Alternative Delivery Task Force under three previous State Architects.
After instructing public school inspection classes at North Orange County Community College three years and 200+ students later, David donated the curriculum to and served on the DSA Academy Curriculum Development Committee with DSA staff in 2007. Many of those students continue today as successful DSA Project Inspectors.
David’s professional affiliations include active memberships with ACIA (Fellow), AIA (Associate Member) and CSI (CDT Certified).
David is a member of PSCC representing Project Inspectors within the guidelines of the PSCC charter as well as maintaining communication with members of the school Project Inspection community through ACIA to both members and non-members alike.
