Leased vehicle customers that need assistance resolving mobile equipment problems by the Office of Fleet and Asset Management (OFAM) can learn more about the process.

Vehicle Leasing Information

State employees located outside of the Sacramento area that require a daily rental vehicle for State business purposes should contact their department Travel Program Coordinator for their department's procedures for car rentals via Enterprise Rent-A-Car. All rental fees will be the responsibility of the leasing department.

Maintenance and Repair Invoice Processing

Drivers are responsible for ongoing maintenance and bi-annual Smog Inspections of their DGS-leased vehicle.

To find a state approved vendor, perform a Mobile Equipment Maintenance and Repair Vendor Query.

The approved vendors provide state agencies with reliable, consistent automotive services at economical rates throughout the state. Every other year, a smog inspection is required for all state-owned vehicles.

Inspect Mobile Equipment The Inspection Services Program is responsible for consultation for the repair, maintenance, purchase of state-owned mobile equipment, and disposal of state-owned mobile equipment at state auctions.

Estimates Review

Become an approved repair vendor The Vendor Program is responsible for processing applications from automotive maintenance and repair vendors to be placed on the State’s approved vendor list.
