The Full-Day Kindergarten Facilities Grant Program has been expanded to include California Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten and Full-Day Kindergarten. School districts that lack the facilities to provide preschool, transitional kindergarten, and/or full-day kindergarten instruction can locate funding opportunities under this service.

Qualifying school districts and joint powers authorities that have a need for the construction of new facilities, modernization or reconfiguration of existing facilities, and equipment to integrate Career Technical Education into comprehensive high schools can locate funding opportunities under this service.

Applicants that have a need for new construction of charter school facilities or the rehabilitation of existing school district facilities for charter school use can locate funding opportunities under this service.

School districts that have a critical need for pupil housing because the condition of the facilities or the lack of facilities presents an imminent threat to the health and safety of the pupils can locate funding opportunities under this service.

School districts that cannot provide all or a portion of their local share can locate opportunities under this service.

School districts that need to modernize and upgrade their buildings can locate funding opportunities under this service.

School districts that have a projected unmet need for student housing can locate funding opportunities under this service.

Applicants that support regional K-16 education collaboratives that create streamlined pathways from high school to postsecondary education and into the workforce can locate funding opportunities under this service.

In order to apply for seismic mitigation funding, school districts must have a qualifying Category 2 Building Type and can locate funding opportunities under this service.

Non-profit organizations that have experience running successful teacher recruitment programs can locate a grant funding opportunity under this service.

School districts and county superintendents of schools pay a fee for properties that are not used for school purposes after specific time periods under this service.

Under this service, a school district, county office of education or charter school that sells real property must return any moneys received through state school facilities funding program for the purchase, modernization, or construction of improvements on the real property.

Under certain circumstances, a school district must request authorization to transfer surplus site sale proceeds into its general fund account under this service.
